SIZES
Gold Cow artworks are large. They work from two perspectives – from across the room where one sees the overall pattern, and up close where one can study the detail. As such, the minimum size offered is a canvas of 100cm x 100cm. The maximum depends on the medium you choose – 150cm x 150cm for giclée or 200cm x 200cm for perspex.
The sizes below serve merely as a guide. Custom sizes are available. All prices are inclusive of VAT at 20%.

The term giclée is derived from the French word ‘gicler’, which literally translates as ‘to squirt’ or ‘to spray’. It denotes a print made from a digital file directly to paper using an inkjet printer as an output device. Whilst the term is broad, it has come to be associated with prints produced to fine art papers. Our giclée printing is archival grade, exceptional quality and offers an intense colour and vibrancy. Giclée printing offers unparalleled vivid colours using Epson Ultrachrome inks. Prints are highly pigmented and light-fast to an exceptional standard. Our giclée prints are on high-grade archival Hahnemühle paper and available up to 150cm x 150cm.

ChromaLuxe printing uses a process called ‘dye sublimation’ to fuse artwork onto a 1.2mm thick aluminium panel. The prints have an intense depth and colour intensity that is comparable to that of traditional photographs produced using Kodak Kodachrome or Fujifilm Velvia transparency films. Your artwork is first printed as a giclée print on to transfer paper which is then applied to the specially coated aluminium panel. Using both heat and pressure the dye particles change into a gas, bond with the polymers in the aluminium, and then change back into a solid state, fusing the image and aluminium together. The ChromaLuxe printing process produces images on aluminium with an outstanding depth and intensity of colour. ChromaLuxe prints are archival, highly resilient and require no additional glass, acrylic, lamination or coating to protect them. They are suitable for almost any interior or exterior environment including high-traffic areas or climatically challenging environments. ChromaLuxe artworks are printed 100cm x 100cm.

Duratrans (also known as backlit transparencies) are photographs or images printed on a translucent-base material, ideal for displaying on lightboxes. Duratrans are printed using a Lambda c-type process, similar to a traditional photographic process but with all of the benefits of digital control, and which is archival and durable. Duratrans are ideal for displaying in lightboxes as the translucent-base of the material used for printing allows some light to pass through from behind, illuminating and enhancing your work. Duratrans are avilable up to 120cm x 120cm. Backlit artworks larger than that are printed using the Direct to Media technique. Ultra-fine six-colour inkjet printing, dried by ultraviolet light, allows the artwork to be printed directly on to perspex in an intense, wide colour range. The ink droplets are bonded to the surface of the perspex giving a smooth, stable, abrasion resistant and long-lasting image up to 200cm x 200cm.
